How to Train Your Sortelle AI Assistant for Smarter Replies
Your Sortelle AI assistant starts responding right away, but it gets sharper, smoother, and more aligned with your tone the more feedback you give it. This guide walks you through how to train your AI using the built-in upvote/downvote system, custom responses, and live testing through the AI Agents tab.
1. Why Training Matters
Sortelle AI is designed to adapt to your communication style. By guiding it just a little, you’ll quickly notice:
Smarter replies
Fewer awkward responses
More qualified leads with less back-and-forth
Training takes just seconds per message, but the benefits build fast.
2. Upvoting and Downvoting Responses
In your Conversations tab (on desktop or mobile), each AI reply includes thumbs-up and thumbs-down icons.
Thumbs Up: Marks a good reply so the AI knows it did well
Thumbs Down: Tells the AI it missed the mark and should try a different approach
Your feedback helps the assistant learn what works — and what doesn’t — for your tone, audience, and preferences.
3. Creating Custom Responses
You can pre-load replies the AI can use for common questions or specific types of leads.
To create custom replies:
Go to your Settings tab
Click Custom Responses
Add the type of question and the reply you want it to use
You can add as many as you like — think of these like quick scripts the AI can pull from as needed.
4. Training from the Mobile App
Inside the mobile app:
Tap into any lead in the Conversations tab
Review the AI’s replies
Tap thumbs up or down based on the quality
You can also pause the AI if needed and reply manually
Training is just as simple on mobile as it is on desktop.
5. Use the AI Agents Tab to Test and Improve
If you're on desktop, you can test how your AI responds under different conditions.
To test your AI:
Click into the AI Agents tab from the main dashboard
Use the input to simulate a message
Watch how your AI would reply based on your training
This is great for previewing how your assistant will behave in real-time conversations.
6. Pro Tip: Start Small, Improve Fast
Even just 5–10 thumbs-up or downvotes per day will help Sortelle get smarter — without you needing to rewrite or manage anything complex.
